I know a dealer that has a new (never used) Poulan 655 with a new 36" GB bar and new chain for $799. All I can find out about this saw is that it is about 98 cc's. Would this saw have any advantages over the newer saws of the same size for milling? Are parts still available? Good Price? Any input would be appreciated.

That particular model started it's series as a Pioneer P-60. The are reed breathing torque hogs and would be a good choice for a milling saw. It's heavy for it's HP but, for milling, weight doesn't matter much.
