Looks like a homebrew outside dawg, made up from a a dawg taken from another saw. Looks somewhat like a Homelite 925 dawg....

when i saw this ad up with sold already i just had a feeling buddy Aaron had something to do with it before i even opened it heck i would have made an offer on this beaut. love the way these old poulans will kick the snot out of a 2100 despite being smaller displacement.

LOL. You got me Shane. You still running that 4200? Couldn't pass this one up. Having the needed spare parts on hand helps too.


A 2100CD will have the advantage once the bars and wood get much over 32" or so. These Poulans are indeed surprising however.

the 4200 still runs. don't use it much but it sure is a powerhouse with that 394 carb on there. i wouldn't say a huge difference but it is better.

Thanks Don. My red/black Craftsman 5.2 branded 5200 that I had at the GTG sure is a runner. Hoping I can get this 8500 running as well as that saw, and before our park work party/GTG in November. I have a 34" Windsor ST put aside for this saw.
