Sad but true. They are handy little saws when they are running. If you want to spend some time on it, I would pull the cylinder and see if it can be salvaged as it might be worth the cost of piston for educational purposes.If you paid US$35 already for a Micro 25 and it needs a new piston and cylinder- you are already financially way too deep in!
My Dad bought his in 1979. After about 2 years of use it sat in the basement for the next 27 years until I grabbed it from my Mom’s house for restoration. He has passed away years earlier. It was beyond my patience and cash to finish it. All magnesium body was very cool. It needed so many parts…Something about them saws and the craftsman versions they were everywhere when i was a kid. I even had a poulan 1800 tot as a kid.
Also has anyone ever seen a chain sharpener built in? Never seen one with it before this one.
