Can anyone tell me what the L and H jets are to be set at on this Poulan P3314 chainsaw? I've switched carburetors out and need to know what the jets need to be set at. Thanks to anyone who replies.

I did not have much use for the one that passed over my bench a few years ago so I sold it on. But I remember my go to has always been 1 and 1/4 turn each and that gave me a good starting point but no joy with the little green devil. I ended up with both turned out over 2 turns. To me that sounded nuts but it ran and ran pretty well too for what it was.
It took me forever to get to that point because I never had any saw with the hi and low open that far. It needed to be that way though for it to run right. Try 1 and a quarter each if you want but I bet you will have better luck at about 1 3/4 to 2 turns. Turn the idle screw in pretty good so when it does start it will stay running while you try to tune it. Good luck Jeff.

Steve; are you calling the carburetor a stratos charged type? That may be what it is; it has an extra port hole that sets on top of the regular carburetor that slides into a rubber boot coming off the intake. Does that sound like I have a stratos charged carb? Also; what about the L and H jet settings on a Husqvarna 350; do you know what they set at? Thanks guy's for replying.

It is a strato engine and tuning can be a little tricky. To get to the sweet spot with the high speed jet, it helps to start with the screw so far out (2 and 1/2 turns) that you can here the engine blubber and then screw it in from there until it runs clean in the cut. Low speed adjustment is much the same, you should end up with leanest setting that gives consistent idle speed with good acceleration when the throttle is snapped open.

Thanks Ole2Stroke; that sounds better than the way I was trying to adjust it. I don't have the jets open enough. I'll give it another try tomorrow and see if that works. What about the settings for the Husky 350? Have any idea? Again Thanks

I just want to express my gratitude for this info. It sent me on the right path to learn and understand the problem I had with a P33cc…
Yes I had a bad carb and replaced but still tried to tune the saw with standard technique. After 2days of blisters and bruises I found this and now the saw rips.
Much needed boost to my white male privilege,
and a very happy customer!
Thanks

Glad you found something here that helped you. I do not post much anymore the saw craze in my life has been replaced with, well life, I guess. Although I did have my sons Partner 500 on my bench today, and It was enjoyable.
