I picked up a Poulan 306A that looks like it's hardly been used but it has intake leaks from dried out gaskets. Anybody know where to get these things? Poulan P/N 530019022 and 23. Thanks :help:

I went to harbor freight and bought some gasket punches and then headed out to auto zone and got the gasket material and made my own. That is about the best thing one can do when fixing an obsolete saw. If you have to, use a good manila folder and cut the gaskets out of that.

I checked 3 distributors and my own inventory for those numbers. Sorry, NLA. I'd say your best bet is some good gasket material, loctite gasket sealer and a set of punches. I've made a LOT of gaskets this way. Dead-soft copper dheet works great for making old head gaskets. Just use a product called Hi-Tack on both sides and they work like a dream. Best of luck.

PS also checked all available aftermarket in our area, not to say that another gasket will not fit but you'd be in faster form to make one.

I would like to add my two cents to this one or since the Canadian dollar is way up 1.95cents.My best friends dad has a 306a and I have been trying to get it off him for years! Great saw lot's of power lots of vibe, but by looking at what you put on your sig I don't think you would care about that!I would go to your local auto parts store as already mentioned and get some gasket paper and make them yourself.

I ended up using the old flattened cork gaskets, I put a few layers of Dirko on each side to make them thick enough to seal. New fuel lines, filter, plug and carb kit, it fired up and sounded good. I cut up a pecker pole hickory with this saw last weekend, it ran great. Not bad considering the saw was free!

now find a 245a and swap the piston and jug and you will have a real ripper i love mine it is a bad mamma jamma with a sharp 3/8 and 24" bar
