I generally like to stick to the older Poulans(3400,3700 and 4000) but saw a Poulan Pro 405 for sale. Anyone have any experience with them good or bad? Thanks for any input you can give.

The 405 is a newer version of the P42 after Poulan took over Pioneer/Partner. I have both the P42 and the Poulan Pro 405. Haven't used the 405 much, but if it is as good as the P42 you'll love the saw. They are 66cc and are a powerful saw. Only problem, parts are getting harder to get, but a good Poulan dealer should still be able to get most for you. What is the asking price for the saw? Does it look to be in good condition?

My bad, I thought the P40 saws were closer to 70cc.
