Looking for opinions and or experiences with Vacu-Stack chimney Cap and Tjernlund AD-1 draft inducer. I've pretty much decided on the AD-1 and if I go with it I won't need the Vacu- stack. Thanks a bunch for any feedback.

I have/had one of these on my outdoor wood boiler. When i bought the boiler used, it did not work. I pulled it off to inspect and it was full of creosote from burning green wood which i am assuming cooked the motor. I plan to replace it this summer. Not sure of the brand or model but looks identical to the one on your link. Came factory on the woodmaster boiler.

They should make all motors with thermal protection with automatic reset. I've got a two horsepower three phase motor on a punch press and after starting it will run on single phase but over 1/2 or 2/3 load it will overheat, turn itself off but then it will come back on when it cools down.
You making free that motor up just by cleaning it and spinning it. It probably does have a one time use thermal fuse in it. Finding it and accessibility of it may be tough. You could check the windings with a ohm meter.
