What are you coating? There are reasons for explosion in PC popularity, not all are because it's superior to paint. I'm not convinced its better than paint, but if one wants crinkle black then it's about the only option. Other than that I'm not yet convinced. The biggest advantage is to the applicator, not the customer (less overspray, low VOC, cheaper, less waste disposal...)

In my opinion it's far superior than paint. I have had many chainsaw cases, recoils and clutch covers powder coated as well as the deck on my garden tractor. I haven't found a paint that holds up like the powder does. @glock37 has done all the powder for me.
