cousin says his ms250 w/ 16" .325 rolamatic bar n chain has a rough spot in the chain rotation. ok i thought, chain has burr on it. after careful inspection and filing i could not remove the rough spot. closer inspection w/ dial indicator reveled that the preset was .035" shorter (measured center to center) than the other links. links measured .400" and preset was .365" center to center.
i installed a ".325 preset", that measures .400" center to center, and all is well.
does anyone know what chain the .365" preset is for?
