I've built a support (I hope) structure for some oak slabs that I am very slowly milling. It consists of a few 4x4x10' pressure treated lumber pieces running lengthwise, and about 7 or 8 2x4x4' pressure treated pieces running across the 4x4s. The 2x4s are held on edge by joist hangers. My hope is to stack the first slab on the 2x4s which will effectively serve as stickers.

Bad idea ? Will the pressure treated wood adversely affect the oak ? I've heard of staining in other cases.

Green oak has a lot of tannic acid & may well react with the copper salts in the PT lumber. You'll need stickers to put between the slabs, so why not put them under the first slab as well?
