Held when the engine was cold, but when it was running, I couldn’t hear or tell there was a leak apart from seeing a very small amount of oil bubbling out the cylinder base. Never had this before, but I’m not that surprised. I presume others have come across this it can only be metal expanding. It’s a poor design too, it only has 2 bolts holding the cylinder head down, so it’s not that surprising. While diggin into the engine to make another base gasket, I also noticed this! Lucky I caught it before it cracked further and didn’t let go..
