Thanks for looking, it was really neat to saw the log, dry the boards and then get to use the wood. Its amazing how bad the wood looks on the surface after setting outside for a year but a few runs through the jointer and then you see how good it looks. oh yeah I forgot, even the tree, it came from her grandpa's house, so it will even be special to him. Gonna try to make some collage out of the pictures, making it on the left, then a big picture of her sitting on it on the right, then give it to grandma & grandpa as a gift.
 
Vary nice job, and interesting on the process. You can enjoy it now, but that looks like it might be one of those items that she keeps for her hope chest and can enjoy when she has a daughter. Jim
 
You using one of those 3rd axis CNC routers for that carving?
