:newbie:Any help w/ knowledge on this would be greatly appreciated!!
Given promark 210,motor locked up.Converting over to V-4 30hp flathead wisc. w/ larger crankshaft 1 7/16". Having to buy drive bushing/pulley.210 uses 3 groove pulley
3vx belts. The cutter wheel has 8" pulley. Unfortunately original drive pulley got lost. I think it was 3-4" in diameter?
Told: orginal 18 kohler peak rpm = 3200-3600,
30 hp flat head v-4 wisc peak rpm 2400
So here is where I need help?
1)what are the 310 diameter pulleys?
2)what is max rpm to run cutter wheel at?
3)would it be ok to run larger drive pulley 6"-8" ?
4)Someone mentioned bogging of 18 hp motor made chipping less efficient. Would greater rpm of cutter wheel be better w/ larger hp motor?
Thank You for any experience any one can help me with!!!

My Promark 210 is running an 18hp Briggs with a 4 1/8" OD primary pulley (stock pulley) and the later manual clutch mod (lever tensioner).
I would think you'd want to keep the disc speed as close as possible to stock, for bearing life and balancing.
Best of luck!

8"(Disc Pulley) divided By 4.125 (Engine Pulley) = 1.939 reduction, 3600 RPM divided by 1.939 = 1,856 RPM wheel speed. 8"(Disc Pulley) divded by 6.125"(Engine Pulley) = 1.306 reduction. 2400 RPM divided by 1.306 reduction = 1,837 RPM Wheel speed. 6.250" Pulley = 1,875 Wheel RPM. Hope this helps.
