Will Pruning ash trees in the summer make them more susceptible to being invaded by eab?

Nope, those ****ers come to your area they dont discriminate between ashes.

According to anything I've read there isn't any seasonal recommendation on pruning Ash trees. Most of the areas I work the only ones left are the treated ones anyway.

Then why are girdled trap/sink trees being used to monitor and control EAB populations?

I believe it would. From what I understand they go after stressed trees first...but it's only a matter of time if they are there anyways.
