Will Pruning ash trees in the summer make them more susceptible to being invaded by eab?
 
Nope, those ****ers come to your area they dont discriminate between ashes.
 
no sir, a fresh wound on an ash will not attract the bug any more then an untouched tree, we trim them year round
Then why are girdled trap/sink trees being used to monitor and control EAB populations?
 
I believe it would. From what I understand they go after stressed trees first...but it's only a matter of time if they are there anyways.
