Looking for some advice. We pruned a massive White Pine in the fall of 2010. The wounds are currently leaking sap on our customers new deck. I am looking for a recommendation on material that can be applied to sticky/gummy/dripping wounds that will guarantee no further sap drop. It is an extensive climb so we only want to go up once. We have used orange shellac in the past, but I am not sure it would be up to the challenge. I do not want to have to resort to pruning tar/paste unless I absolutely have to. Has anyone had this issue before, please advise.
