Bought on on ebay month or so ago, and got a lemon. Didn't try it out straight away as was on Hoilday. Needs new piston/rings/ cylinder. Been told it has been run hard without oil... is this worth fixing... if not any suggestions on a replacement for a firewood cutter.

They are a good little saw. If you can salvage the jug, I would do it. I used wd 40 as a lube and a flapper wheel for polishing aluminum heads on a drill and saved a cyl that looked horrible.

Many on here that know more about this than me. I would do a search on "cylinder".
