Pto hydraulic pump question?

Hi all so i am trying to pull my hydraulic fluid pump off the pto shaft and it seems to be stuck is there anything im over looking or shouldnt it just pull straight off???Many thanks

I've seen pto attachments that have spring loaded pins that need pushed in before removing. Give it a good look.[/QUOT Ok thanks ill look!

Are you talking about a hydraulic pump attached to the PTO on a tractor as an attachment, or the type of pump that often drives tippers and runs off a fixed PTO underneath the truck attached to the gearbox permanently? Pic would definitely help too...

Heys guys sorry i didnt get back to ya quicker i was knee deep in it! And i did get the pump off turns out after many years the shaft tends to seize on them! Thanks
