Pulling Cottonwoods

Took down 4 of them around this house yesterday with my brother. 70", 48", 36", and a 24", all were rope and pull. I got these 2 on video and put together a short clip.

2 were in decline (big rotten leads) and the other 2 were still weak, dirty, Cottonwoods. I don't know for sure why they wanted them down, but the homeowner cut 6 other 60'/70' Spruce, so he's on a mission to clear the yard, lol.

I could've used a longer rope and gotten T-boned out in the road or pulled it into the power, lol.

The video has so many pause's, I could not stand it! Anyway, what's so special? Looked pretty cake to me.

Yeah, I tried sticking my head out the window, but that wasn't working too well and by that time I just had to bear down and pull the dang tree over. The second tree I got smart and held the helmet in my hand and pointed it at the tree. Learning curve is sharp with these gay cameras.:hmm3grin2orange: Here, I'll even give you a cheese #### grin.

Yeah solid wood, but if the rope per chance roped a little outwards...pine does not have a high breaking strength.

Ya,all's pines are weak for sure, I climbed them back in the eighties, get your foot two foot out from spar and snap:monkey: Our loblolly seem fairly strong though!
