Here's the puzzler. I am maybe a bit paranoid, but I took my time and switched the cutting sequence after I started. Nothing jumped up, nothing pivoted, I just misread a bind, which seemed to shift, and had to wedge Twinkle out. Twinkle is doing a bar stand on the right hand side.

I did a BORE cut because I wanted to cut that tiny one that was held underneath a larger one. This is after I did a BORE cut. Yes, it is boring.

Here is the aftermath. This was therapeutic, I came extremely close to having a fit earlier in the day. But I'm much better now.:chainsaw:

something you might try for tension bucking is offset bucking just offset your cuts an inch or two for some reason it sometimes gives you that split second to remain in posssion of your saw dont know why?

Nice job!

And nice small "back saving" easy to move pieces as well! (Why work hard if you don't have to I say...)

Smooth barked critters... Okay, is it an Immature Grand Fir? Pacific Silver fir?

Looks like you did just fine to me slowp... Lot's of "Pro's" get stuck in a bind, and have to cut or wedge their saw out. Reading a bind is like reading the green on a golf course... Some guys can read it like Tiger Woods... Some guys read it like they wear a helmet and carry a drool cup.

OT: I got a copy of that sale contract in the mail today... Would it be possible for y'all to make them a little more in-depth and complicated? LOL

The trees are all D-fir and hemlock, although there has been one small cedar
(Western Redcedar) and alder, of course.

Actually, "we" have made the contract less complicated than in the good old days. More standard provisions and fewer fill in the blank ones. They've shrunk about a third ..at least the 2400-6 ones have. They make for good exciting reading too. :biggrinbounce2:

Or emergency toilet paper.......

Weird? Your Doug Fir look different than mine? So the ones across the road in the pics are Doug's? The bark seems too shiny.

Yes, this contract is quite the read... I went cross-eyed twice! LOL I'm going to drive to the FS office and review it with the head Forester... I don't want to miss something, and have it eat half the profit. Things I do know: No road maintenance, no slash requirements or deposit, and some rehab... He mentioned "some grass seeding", and I need to know if his definition of "some" is 200 acres? :monkey:

Those behind your truck in the last pic have to go as well.

Not by me. That's the Scary Tree. But I walked up the road and there's a lot more across. I spent quite a while on this road last year too. I think it is worse this year.

Thats a doug in the lower left hand part of the last picture. It is young stuff, probably 1960s vintage.

Check on who buys and or supplies the grass seed. That is a very spendy item here.

Click on "User Cp" above left.

There are various settings to notify you by email about this or that. You can turn these off.

Also in the upper right is "Private Messages". If you have certain settings in the User Cp, it will notify you by email that you have a private message. Priviate messages are sort of a little email system for just the forum.

good deal, appreciate the advice!if its big yellow makes alot of noise i have no problems but im a cyber retard

You'll get the hang of it... This place is addicting... Like cocaine... But less powdery.

Yeah, the grass seeding thing might be the deal breaker... This isn't a big money sale.

Oh, and most places only require grass seeding on skid trails, landings, and temp roads. Not the entire area.

My luck they'll make me buy some rare, hydroponically grown seed, that was cultivated listening to classical music, and in the finest distilled water from France! CHA-CHING!! LOL
