i am currently looking for a new set up pads to replace my T-pads.
i am looking at the bashlin c pads. witht he steel formable incert. my question is. they have two differnt styles.. Straight or angled. i would assume i should order straight but figuired i should see what all you think. a bit of info. i am using the climb right alum climbing spikes. thanks the the help guys.

Can't answer your question about the straight or angled pads because I've only climbed on the so called "caddy" or "Cadillac" aluminum pads. :rockn:

The aluminum pads are great because they are rock solid and keep the spurs from producing any torsion on your ankle/foot. From what I've been told that twisting motion is more evident with T and L style pads.

I prefer the bashlin angled spurstays, with the steel insert, the single strap leather version with a regular buckle. I like the nybuck straps best.

I'm running the new buckingham titanium gaff bodies now with both pole and tree gaffs.

Gaining true comfort on your gaffs can cost some serious coin. I know it did for me anyway.

i have heard lots of good things about the caddy pads but cant find them for my aluminum climb right spurs

I climb on Klien spurs with the "Ultra Stiff Wrap Pads" and I won't climb in anything else, had the aluminum "caddys" before and also tried T-pads and the velcro wrap style. Ultra Stiff's beat em' all imho. They are expensive, but they are very comfortable and make the spurs feel like they are part of your leg. Awesome pads.

If you ask me, cost means nothing compared to comfort. The last thing you need to focus on 50' up is how bad you feet hurt.

i have just velco wrap pads on my climbers and they move around on my leg a whole lot, they get the job done tho i guess im to cheap to buy others lol. but i used gekos once with that solid plastic pad up top and it was alot nicer to climb on didnt move so much, alot more stable. if i was going to buy another pair it would have a solid pad up top.
