I just picked up a PP305 and was wondering if a PP375 top end will swap over? If not what options do I have? Just getting into Poulans so I'm not that familiar with parts interchangeability.

Not too familiar with those models but there is quite a difference in displacements so you would be lucky if the top ends are interchangeable. One way that helps is to look up a parts diagram and see if both models use the same crankshaft, if they do, the bigger top end will probably work as the stroke is the same, however you have to be sure they are both the same externally or the muffler and carbs will be different. Also, that saw is probably a clamshell design where you can't just change the cylinder as it's part of the lower crankcase. Many things have to be considered before ordering one.

That a chrome cylinder or chrome piston top end? As I understand it some of the non “pro” labeled poulans are chrome piston instead of chrome cylinder.

Any chainsaw stuff is that I have for right price. But that set would cost you more then what a runner would cost ya used.
So you might look for those IMO. But if serious just message me. But you been warned.
The piston goes in alot of 54cc saws. 335 predator but used on others too.

While its nice to have more cc's, 5 more cc's (49 vs 54) isn't that much. PP305 0r 3000 are great saws. You can always get a PP335 as Kevin mentioned or a Poulan 3300 if you have to have a 50+cc saw.
