Easy ways to tell a saw apart without cleaning a number and looking it up when there are no badges or tank handle to tell them apart.
Sometimes you need to figure out what a saw is based on a crappy online pic and these "cheats" help me.
I am sure there are more.
the corners on the 044 /440 are behind the recoil so if you can see the corner next to the brake handle it is a 046/460, to tell the 10mm vs 12mm 044 you really need to remove the recoil or look at it from the top between the muffler and recoil corner.
