i am holding a raffle auction for an excellent+ husky 262xp(pictures in my prior thread) in memory of the unexpected death of Chris Singer one week ago-he left his wife and young son.he was an arborsite member(SKIPPY TM).tickets are $10 apiece-drawing to be held jan.1,winner posted,and all proceeds given to his wife.please send mo or check(no paypal due to their restrictions) no limit on # of tickets purchased roger collins 619 old agency road ridgeland,ms.39157.hopefully this new heading will get more attention so that i can send his wife and son a larger gift from the arborsite members.

jon1270 sent me a PM indicating that a private raffle to raise money in the state of Mississippi is illegal punishable by fineand/or imprisonment.if this is legally correct i will have to immediately stop the raffle and refund all money sent to me for the CHRIS SINGER raffle.i had no idea

Perhaps another member in another, more charitable state would like to take up the baton. You could send all the info and money to him/her so we could still help Chris' family.

Churches have raffles all the time here around columbus ms, where I live !

Maybe if you don't call it a raffle it would be legal. How about donation with a door prize.
