i picked up an meatscales at the flea this morning. so most of my big saws were stored due to my back . the rest i emtied
before weighing... this is what i came up with... first the echo 3000 w 14 echo bar and 3/8 lp chain. 9.5.
next the 009 with 14 micro bar and semi chisel .10.5
the 026 with 16 full chisel windsor speed tip. 13.5
the olympic [efco deere] 962 with gb bar and 16 full chisel15.5
036 withe 20 rollomatic and full chisel chain16.5
the 372 pp with issue bar an full chisel
chain 18.
now the reason i gave bar types an chain etc is the difference in wt of the variouse type bars ..for instance its easy o see that the 372 bar would be heavier than the rollomatic ,,an so on. id wouldnt change the 372 bar as it is rite for that sw cutting wise. just thot some mite find this interesting.also saw desighn has a lot to do with how much a saw seems to weigh .. as id have guessed the difference between the echo an 009 to have been greater.han it turned out to be. ,,which of course points to more balanced echo saw... your inputs or differing findings welcome.. thanks
ps all chains are in near new condition .another variable.
