Ok here are a couple of short easy ones the B " on my new golf piston goes (down) ?? there is no arrow as my dealer who couldn't get me a piston told me also how do I get the needles onto my rod journal they are now attached to paper as they are new?? Thanks Guys

1st. Im interested in seeing how your golf piston works out for you.

I found them last night and thought the rings looked too fat, JMO.

The needles get removed from the tape and cleaned with wd-39 or carb cleaner.

Next you will need assembly grease, I use Crane assembly lube but a grease/paste type may be better if youve never done this before.

:dizzy: *Important* The rod halves are split at the factory and WILL only go together proerly only one way, mark them with black marker before taking the halves apart. :dizzy:

Clean and dry the rod and Schmear the grease on the bottom half and place the cleaned rollers in the grease, they should be crowded(touching). Do this until you have half of the rollers in place, count them and double check everything three times.

Set the bottom aside and do the big half of the rod in the same manner.

Topcoat the rollers on the small rod half with a small amount of grease and place them on the crank holding them in place.

Now bring the big half down in the correct orientation and mate the rod halves together.

And with your third hand insert one of the rod bolts in place and snug it up to hold this mess together, insert the other bolt and torque to factory spec.

Do not loose or disloge the rollers, this will result in you experiencing the EXPENSIVE sound.

Rinse the grease out with clean gas (fill case 1/2 way and roll the rod around 20-30 times) and triple check for errant rollers, they can get stuck in bearings, reed cages, nooks and crannys.

Lube the bottom end with a little unmixed 2stroke oil and your ready to mount the piston.
