Recently planted apple trees with problems

Hey I planted 12 Apple trees 3 weeks ago, multiple varieties. In the last week or more half of them are doing poorly. These trees looked healthy when they were planted. Any thoughts on what's causing this? Watering has been good, but it has been very hot here. Also I know this time of year is bad time to plant but these were too good of deal to pass up. Thanks for any help

Any Cedar trees nearby? Its hard to tell from the picture, and it doesnt look like a rust, but apple trees can be hit hard and fast by Cedar Apple rust.

Yes there are a lot fairly close

Hard to tell from the pic, but they may be planted too deep.

A update on trees since posting, all the yellow leaves have fallen off and there are decent amount of healthy leaves on top areas of trees, but bottoms are fairly bare
