I would not know about that:rolleyes: For Fred it would be the Indian buffet. :D

I''ve been going to greek diners a lot lately and getting Baklava after the sandwich. Oof Dah!

Looks great from here Steve. the only thing I could say is maybe I woiulda subordinated some of the lower limbs vs. thinning. Cannot really say from my chair 5 hours away.

I did a green ash today, a little bigger. Reduction cuts on the lower limbs and thinnig cuts in the rest of the crown.

Looks good - but I'm jealous concerning it's size.

It's so itty bitty, I'd like at least one call from someone with something that do-able especially now when it's hitting at 100 every day.

You didn't break any limbs did you?

Good job. I hope that one doesn't fall victim to the elm leaf beetle that is prevalent up there in IN. Or, is that an Ash?

It looks like a Drakes Elm,yea huh. I love these kind of jobs, hardly break a sweat and never touch a chainsaw.

Brian, I thought squirrels were nut and seed eaters.:p

It was an easy job and it paid well.

Some of the lower limbs were subordinated to provide roof and gutter clearance. It was the only was to effectively provide the needed space.

She originally wanted the tree cut back about one half, but after explaining to her how the tree would react, she opted for the thinning cuts. Good decision.

It looks like you did a fine job trimming the tree.

What is meant by crown thinning? How does it help a tree?
I have heard about crown cleaning, and that concept makes sense to me, but thinning is something I have yet to grasp, outside fruit production or hazard reduction.
