I would have to say that the white pine I did last week was a pretty nasty climb which I didn't get paid for. The thing went up 4 feet or so and split off into 2. I have a picture of it under the off-topic forum. It wasn't so much the climb that was bad. It was more about how all the sap kept siezing my belly line knots up. and how I was filthy and all sticky when I got down. It's really nice being up there 60 feet and not being able to shorten / lengthen your belly line. Then of course when I would start at the beginning of a new day first thing I would feel on my hands was nasty pine sap.

That would be the dead oak we did with a crane a couple of years ago. The owner stiffed me on the payment, and because of an oversight on my part(no signed contract), we never got paid. There was some confusion due to a third-party tenant being involved and the owner's wife giving us a verbal OK to do the work. The lesson's learned from that experience include: Make sure you have a contract signed by the OWNER. Call ahead to confirm the job date and time, especially if a crane or other subcontractors are scheduled to be there. (I had to pay the crane charges even though I never got paid).
