Hey guys just learned another good life lesson today. I happened to get hooked into helping my old man load out some worn out farm machinery and haul it to the local recycle center. Within two loads about 4000. lbs he made $80.00 not bad! But I started looking around at all the junk hauled in there, Hell they take everything. So I had to ask, do ya get any junk chainsaws. Oh, hell yea the guy replies junked out about thirty yesterday. every three months I have about a pickup truck load or more. After I picked up my jaw and did the quick calculation of what I pay for new and used parts. I thought why didn't I start comming here before?? I mean I've been to hundreds of junk yards but never considered these little recycle centers to have anything but aluminum cans. Needless to say I made a new freind and connection for my used parts supply!! Keep looking ya never know what you can find! The Hoosier

Curley fries for everyone!!!!!

$40 a ton for steel is pretty low, I think it is much higher around here.

But the real money is in brass, copper, and aluminum. My father in law took in some radiators for locomotives and made over $1300

It looks like you might profit.

Maybe you could ask the guy to buy some of the better "brand" saws for material salvage value and part them out.

I think we see this on ebay all the time.

Locomotive radiators? Do you have your own rail line for loggin?
