Just did a little google search, it seems that thay may be the same as Efco saws, if this is the case, Efco does make a nice saw, but i'd still have to say, nothing beats a stihl

Not the same as Efco....

The 2500GT is a 6 pound saw, a tad lighter than a 192T, but at 1.1 horsepower versus 1.7 or so for the 192, fuggediboudit...

The next size up Redmax is a toy as well, I think. Buy a Jonsered 2139 from an AS member....pm me for details....$350, open the muffler and you'll have a saw that will start and run reliably, last a long time, and be lighter than the 200T, and have equal or slighly better power...and more torque.

or a 192T, and mod the muffler...not a pro grade saw, so durability is an issue, but a great little saw after modding. over 1 pound lighter than the 200T, Husky 338/Josny 2139 (same saw)

I hear the Dolmar 3410 Th is an adequate saw...a tad heavier than the 192T, possibly a bit faster stock...but not in the class of the others.

redmax/zenoah/efco/oleo-mac/husqvarna/partner/mcculloch

the redmax range of saws are rebadged komatsu zenoah saws, made in japan, they are solidly built, but generally heavier and slower than their european counterparts (hmm, reminds me of echo somewhat...)

efco/oleo-mac's top handle offering is a rebadged komatsu zenoah saw, same saw as the redmax.

husqvarna group now own the outdoor power equipment wing of komatsu zenoah, and have recently rebadged the smallest of the zenoah tophandle and offered it in the husqvarna, partner, and mcculloch range....

so, to conclude the lecture:givebeer: the redmax tophandles are o.k... (i know a few people who have had one as a 'backup' saw and to train the new kid on before you hand them a 200t/338xpt)... but as a plus parts availability should never be a problem as the same saws are available from zenoah, redmax, efco, oleo-mac, husky, partner, mcculloch and possibly others... pick a color, any color

IS Red Line a current brand, all I could find online was a few parts references, like a belt that would fit a OLYMPYK 274TTA with reversible arm....

Got the saw in the mail today. Turns out it is manufactured by Oleo-mac in Italy but I still can't find any info on this particular model Redline RL 350 DF. Haven't been able to get it started yet....

That is the one that I just bought. And yes I can't find any info on it. Like displacent mainly. It is made by Oleo Mac but doesn't appear in any of the lists or look like either of their current top handle models. ???

Redline Oleo Mac User Manual

I have the same saw.

I contacted the manufacturer (Oleo Mac) and this is what they sent me. Don't know if this helps you.

"As per your request, please find here attached the user's manual. The manual is like the manual of the RL 350 DF chainsaw. At your disposal for any further information."

The attached document exceeds the forum's upload size allowance (4.9 mb). The manual is for a Olympyk 935DF. I can send it directly via email if you still want it.

echo
tho husqvarna is making a nice one now balance wise and set up wise, my buddy has one, he likes it, says it doesnt have the power of his 192 but he prefers it
i myself prefer echo, they dont have the same power as a stihl but there are more pros then cons to that imo, they start easier, balance is better, i like the handle better as well as switch placement and they dont twist in your hand as hard when you throttle them up, plus the warranty is better
if i want a saw with power in the tree i bring a bigger saw up
dont gamble with off brands man, nothing worse then saw trouble in the tree
