Up for sale is a RedMax G5000 in superb condition. You wont find one much nicer, unless you find a new one. Could use a little cleaning, but minimal. Saw has not been used much at all, the original rim sprocket was hard to tell if it had been used or not when I got it.
It needs a worm gear for the oiler. They are small, plastic, and easy to remove, probably a 10 minute job if you are slow.

According to the parts list, the worm gear has to be purchased with the oil pump, which is a grand total of 50 bucks. Further research and know how from a past Redmax dealer said that I would probably be able to by the gear by itself if I called them, and was cheap- but I haven't done it yet. I will provide you with the number. This saw has been under my bench awaiting a port job, that is why I haven't done anything with it. I planned on sending it off and turning it into a cookie/ GTG saw.

I had full intention of sending it to Dan Henry, and if you purchase this saw and are interested in having it ported- I will ship it to Dan Henry for free. Cant beat that deal! I may take partial trade on another saw, but really need fewer saws and more cash. If you are a local, may entertain gun trades but that's about it.

Price?

edit: Sorry, I just scrolled up and noticed that it's an auction.

So then my questions are: Can you post pics? And isn't 4 weeks a bit long for an auction? :)

The auction ends when someone gives me $175 :). Pics coming, having a plethora associated with my provider and linkbucks.
How are you liking that EHP saw? :)

It's a love-affair, for sure. So much so that I am tempted to buy a twin. :)

Sorry for the delay on the pictures. This saw is a runner. I lubed the rails on my 15" Total and square ground and made a couple passes. This saw has more compression than I think I have seen on any stock saw (at least by feel, it is very stout). Again guys, this one will make a free trip to Dozer Dan if you are interested in having it ported. Otherwise, actual shipping and should not be much.

If I was more chainsaw smart I wouldn't mind this saw as I am in need of one, problem is I would have to buy a bar & chain for it and the oiling parts and don't know if I know enough to do it.

I may end up ordering the worm gear in a couple days. It isn't a big ordeal, or time consuming job- but I know myself well enough that when I fix it... it will stay here, and end up getting sent out for port work. Just thought I would stop myself while I was ahead lol. I wish I had more small mount Husky bars laying around, but I don't :(.. or I would hook ya up.

It's a nice looking saw & I have read good things about them, I am sure that you will have no problem selling you have a more than fair asking price on it in my opinion. Good luck w/your sale and for some reason it doesn't sell you'll have yourself a nice saw, looks like a win win situation for ya. Take care! Steve.

Thank you for the kind words. I think its a fine saw, but I have a dozen or so (or close to it) 50cc saws and don't absolutely have to have it. Actually my 550xp ends up getting used more than any other, just cant seem to put it down. I just know if I keep this bugger around, it is going to end up getting ported for play.

Quoted a $800 repair bill for the work car today (400 cheaper than it could have been) and a $111 seatbelt on the way home from UPS earlier. :msp_thumbdn: yikes!

New price, $150 plus ship. Best I can do, great deal on this saw.

I'm really interested but broke.if things change in a few days i'll holler at ya

Sounds good buddy, she's a nice one. I just got slammed on a repair bill for the car, a ticket, and a tow bill. :msp_sneaky: Should have just rode one of the saws to work, would have only had 1 bill (just the ticket) haha.

You might of got a worse ticket if you rode the Redmax to work, I hear that they are really powerful and fast.
