Made a blank today of redwood. This wood is so soft it’s crazy. Really nice to cut on!

I milled 20 some 2” Dawn Redwood slabs several years ago. Most beautiful pink color.. gave one to a friend for a mantle and another to a friend for a coffee table. A couple months ago I put up six new shelves for my chainsaw collection. I had planned on using live edge Oak bouards, but they were so heavy I couldn’t lift them over my head. So, I used the best of the Redwood I had left. Sure is lighter than Oak!
