Removing the Front Handle on a Jotul Oslo.

Does anyone have any idea how to remove the pin from the front door handle of a jotul oslo??????? I have tried everything from putting a screw into in and pulling to using one of those kits to back out stripped screw heads. I cannot figure it out.

My F600 does not have the handle.

But in looking at the Parts diagram for the Oslo, it shows the door with handle as one part number

Are you sure handle was designed to be removed if it cannot be ordered separately ??

Well, as the story goes, the handle fell off one night late while loading the stove. In a tired haze I managed to figure out how to get it back on with the pin and all but accidently installed the handle upside down (closes up now instead of down) and now the wood handle itself is burning and falling apart from being so close to the heat. I need to make it 'fall apart' again so that I can flip it and fix it but for the life of me I CANNOT remove that pin that hold the handle on. I got it back in but cannot get it back out.

Can't tell you how happy I am to find someone else has done this. I did exactly the same thing and now have to wedge the handle up to keep the door shut. Did you ever find an answer? Or does anyone else know how to get the pin out

Here i am in 2020 going through same dilemma on my 2006 F500.... how did we resolve getting the handle off ?
