I have a Bandit 2100, with a 35 HP gas engine, 10 pocket, 1" wheel. Should I replace a tooth or two or start over with a newer model?

I have a Carlton SP-2000 with 27HP engine, and an entire set of new pockets, teeth and bolts cost me $333.00 shipped. I believe the Green Teeth set is about the same for your
Bandit 2100. Those look like Rayco teeth that you have on it... those are about $15 each or a little less if I remember correctly.

Not sure if I understand the question entirely. I have the Carlton 4012 with the 35 horse Briggs. Teeth get replaced as they wear down. Sometimes they can be sharpened or start with new. I find that the outer ones wear the fastest so sometimes just those get replaced, sometimes more than that. You shouldn't mix different styles, Greenteeth, Rayco, Vermeer etc. since it would unbalance the wheel.

I may have given the wrong impression... I wasn't suggesting that he mix the Green Teeth with the Rayco ones... merely pointing out that he could put a whole new set of pockets and teeth on it for about $350.00 if he went with the Green Teeth (they make a set for his grinder). I'm having trouble figuring out exactly what the question is, too... he seems to be implying that he's considering a new stump grinder because a couple of teeth need replaced. $350 might seem like a lot of money for the whole set, but buying a bigger stump grinder means paying even more for a set, when that one's teeth wear out, chip or break. It's a machine to grind tree stumps out of the ground... by its very nature, that process asks an awful lot of the blade. Even the biggest grinders have to have the teeth sharpened or replaced eventually... and those ones are really expensive.
