A friend was wondering if anyone had any experiences with 1 or preferably both of these machines for testing trees (and structural spars). What is best overall; best for the buck; most accurate, shortcomings, ease of use etc.

Thanx,

I'm still waiting for the release of an Austin Power's branded Shag-o-Meter.

Having been given the opportunity to use either/or a number of times, I've always gone with the Resistograph. The Shigometer is interesting, but I wouldn't know how or when to use it, it's just never taught.

Spyder I have a resistagraph resi 400 and love it ,its simple to use ,simple to read/interpret ,and most importantly it's accurate..

Iv'e had the resitagraph for 2 years and i've had not problems with it at all..
