whent out to this gents place to finish a job and once i had this stem down the customer ret logger 80 years young brought out his 272 xp to start bucking this thing into firewood rounds , it was not running rite so i fired up my 288 and let him go at it. he had a blast i wish i had pics of him standing on top cutting, but i was worried he might take a spill. i finished the centers up with the 088 over 60" . super nice fellow all round , he even started splitting up the round . just thought i would share this because it made a regular day a little bit better .

yes he was , when he was up on top cutting made me a little nervous but you could tell it was not his first show. lotts of good stories where told also.
 
That is awesome! Gotta love the old timers. I know an old faller that got into fallin right at the tail end of the misery whip days. He'd jump right in an help too.

Pac you wouldn't know of any eleminator kits floating around for a 288 would ya? I'm prob gonna be pickin one up over christmas that needs a carb. I like those kits. The old mans has one on his 266...

Just realized but it looks like it's just a blue top not an elminator. Crap lol

oh it's an eliminator kit. i have a couple covers. the filters and adapters are easy to come by.

I'm gettin a screamin deal on one from a friend of a friend that needs a carb and lets say some AM goodies are in the works :wink2: I do believe you are a fan of those blue tops if I remember right?

I get er up an runin I'll have the bigger blue top in the fam. The old man has a 266 that he bought new years ago and put the eliminator kit on it :msp_biggrin:

Watch an old welder. hands shake so much he can hardly sit still. Then put a rod in his hand & watch him light it up.
