I file or grind all my chains at 90° (hold the file horizontal) except for a few "demonstration only" type chains. I have not done any real milling so I cannot speak to the benefits of the 10° up angle when filing a rip chain...I do know that a number of guys to do some serious milling prefer 3/8 LP chain due to the narrower kerf; less material to remove so less work to be done. srcarr52 even takes an 8T .404 rim sprocket and grinds or turn the O.D. to the proper diameter for the benefits of the rim type sprocket.Mark
