Have you ever thought about it then decided to Not take your trailer load of carvings along on a road trip?
If so, that was a bad idea...
I recently returned from a 4,200+ mile road trip and we didn't have to use any of the money we set aside for the trip! Carvings sold at gas stations, rest areas, and even during a stop at Home Depot. Fact is, we sold enough carvings to pay for all the diesel fuel (7.3 liter engine) AND for all the pre-trip expense including oil change, fuel and air filters, new brake pads, new master cylinder, and 4 new tires.
What worked for me?
Having a big, extra nice piece that may be priced out of budget for 99% of the gawkers brings more lookers to the truck/trailer. Have a range of prices because I sold as many $200 pieces as I did $80 pieces. Also sold the $600 piece I took. And set prices (I had price tags on everything) high enough to allow you to bargain!
I made at least 2 sales from people calling the phone number on the back of my trailer
This was my Gawker attracting piece which I delivered to it's buyer along the way.
