I know the knotless rigging has been battled out in previous threads and i am not trying to start another. I have a few pines to take down in back yards that are close to the houses and the branches are to big to hold. I need to buy a new drop line and i thought i would give this type of system a shot, so this post is for the guys that use a knotless rigging system.

I am planning to buy a new half inch line and some loops to use in the set up. I will not be shock loading the set up at all, simply putting the line above me and cutting a few branches at a time. What size slings should I be looking to buy, do you get all the same length or a variety. Next should I buy a spliced line or just tie a steel biner to it and cut it when it get worn. Thanks for the help

For light weight lowering and no shock loading I've used 36" long, 1" nylon runners. You can use a girth hitch and attach the nylon runner with a steel screw-lock carabiner to the rigging line. I like an eye on the rigging line since it makes the system a bit more streamlined and is stronger than a knot. If you like you can add a half-hitch after the girth hitch.
