Any of you fellows remember a Sachs chainsaw that had a rotary engine. I owned a Sachs motorbike with a rotary engine and was told they made chainsaws too:biggrinbounce2:

I had one in a million pieces, made a very profitable trade with it. I have seen running ones sell for over a thousand dollars.

Sachs KMS-4 was the model, 1975 was the first year.
Oops sorry Urbicide, I had not seen your link.
I find it funny they list it having 3 cylinders, being there are no cylinders in a rotary engine.

Hmmm... a 20lb saw to run a 20" bar... Ouch.

edit: watching the video, no way that saw is rated for a 20" chain.

So maybe it's a 20lb saw to adequately run a 14" bar. :)

I suppose they are meaning the three chambers that the piston triangle thingie makes. It makes sense since on is on intake, one is on compression and on is on exhaust.
