Trees are the largest life ever; as we (especially i) stand before them as worse than ants to matchsticks; need to apply our forces most intelligently, to give more than recieve a beating that day.

M'Lady don't want me coming home whore out everyday, especially whenst there could be a better way! And so, the men-tall puzzle starts.

i teld Tom recently, that in my imagery; in the balance of things, the strength of weakernesses; is a more sensitive body instrument to read were the most effective points were. If you can totally overwhelm something, it is harder to notice the variances.

So i gets a big guy, and try to get him to do this....etc.

So with 300# guy, i constantly have shade and portable power to exert at pressure points on task!

Okay, let's hear ittttt......

It's automatic, like breathing, and done on the fly on a case-by-case basis.

You just don't usually put it into words.

As far as the parbuckle is concerned; i meant the pulley will have less friction as a rotating device/redirect back to pull from load; than rotating log. But, as you say; the parbuckle will have less friction on the ground as the log moves.

Dang, them guys look like they think they achieved something using just those hand tools to pit themselves against the giant!
At the end of the day, they look like they are fixing to take Butch's advice!

awesome spidy,i remember doing the 3 pulley thing once and moving a forklift along with a set of scales in between to measure effort, changed my life:blob2:

This is my view of consideration of effects from the relationship between effort and loaded axle.

Once again i'm luvin' saving as .gif initially in MSPaint for drawings for mucho smaller file size; as suggested by Glen Gates; oooooops sorry, i guess Glen might consider that defamation of charachter; though i guess Ohhhh Nooooooooo Mr. Bill wouldn't be too thrilled by it either!

i don't think that these considerations hold for applying force to wheels, just wagon.

I for one are amused and educated at the same time by your thoughtful renderings. You make a good point as you do on hinge forensics and I appreciate the time it must take to put this stuff together. Though some might disagree with the physics presented, that's what this place is all about; learning and growing.
Excellent illustrations..

YellowDawg, thanks; we are certainly glad you rode out the storms over the last year; but it is a new day here.

Some of the guys have probably already wrote ya, and warned ya not to entice me! Heck, not really sure why they say that; i don't shut up anyway!

Walking the precipe of understanding out further; tapping into the twilight between extreme of possible force and the impossible, feeling your way is bound to have a few stumbles. Generally, i have to see thngs in 3 different formats(totally different activities), to feel like i am triangulating fairly towards distilling to 1 central, pivotal principle. i don't think my batting average is all that bad; but realize that is tabulated differently by others.

Glens, my chose superior position, would be like a hamster riding the outside of the exercise cage/wheel, trying to climb up on direction of travel and impact massive body weight down to initiate, then try to keep moving. Perhaps stiffening forearms to planche' body stiffness; extending 'spokes' out further; for more leverage impact, then crawl on outside of wheel, trying to maintain body weight pull in desired direction, and hold out as far from wheel as possible as i do so. Perhaps at some point, having to hop off and continue inertia, spinning wheel from outermost diameter; throwing through hills and other 'pit falls' with previous pulse of effort. Other person doing same on opposite side, to direct straight, altering speed on one side only for turn. Done had my lil'red wagon stuck a few times!
