hey guys put the new tach on my 346xp woods ports and she was reading 12600. i thought 11,400 was the good number to be around, has anyone ever setup a chart with all the proper rpm levels for husky stihl or dolmar saws?

thanks.

just a follow up i did some research and it looks like 14200 is a good setting for a 346xp. mine is now at 14000 idle 2900

.

On a ported saw RPM is not the big thing, getting the engine to "4 stroke" is the key to getting power, porting changes how the factory had it set up.

The numbers hidden in my head from previous reading here, is max 14700 stock, and about 14200 woods ported.........

Stihl has a complete set of charts... all devices.. all important values (not just rpm)... a buck or so each... maybe 5 in the set.
