Gents,
Just brought my mid 80's vintage 120 super back to life with a SEM module found on ebay! I haven't used it in 10 years and got it back from a family member with an Oregon 180ATMZ095 bar and a pooched chain on it. so I replaced the clutch and upgraded it with a rim sprocket for 3/8 pitch and 7 teeth. Then I dressed the bar which is still serviceable and bought a new Oregon Powercut E68 3/8 pitch chain which is supposedly for an 18 inch bar. The problem is it is too long!! Where did I go wrong? what should I have ordered for this beast? Appreciate any advice you care to send my way.

That bar is listed as a18" .050 ga .325 solid nose bar that takes a 72 drive link chain in .325 gauge.

So i looked up the bar and And see it can be used with 3/8 pitch chains as well. I should have ordered an E64 Now that I’ve gotten around to actually counting the drive teeth on the old chain. >:/
Guess I’ll just shorten the chain.

Gents, the Sachs-Dolmar 120 Super project is complete. It’s definitely overkill for a homeowner saw but worth the effort and $$ to rescue. Thanks to all who helped with manuals, etc. Finished saw photos attached!!
