Looking at buying a new saddle ... anyone heard of the JELCO brand. I am comparing it to say a Weaver saddle with 2 floating D's. Any help would be most helpful.

I'm in my third Buckingham Master. Tried a lot of different ones and it is the best.

Don not look at cost, try several out and go for fit and function.

+2. I love my Buckingham saddle.

I had a weaver with double Ds but after a few years I gave up on it due to it's tendency to pinch the nether regions. I've used a Komet Butterfly II for the last couple of years and I absolutely love it. It is so light, and comfortable, and your legs are so free to move it's almost like you have nothing on at all.

You can also change the suspension bridge to whatever you prefer. The bridge it comes with was pretty unsubstantial but the replacement one they supply is more sturdy (possibly a little scam) I'm using a rope bridge at the moment. If you change anything out make sure you put Locktite on the threads of the clevises. one of the best features is quick release buckles everywhere

I love this saddle so much, and it has never pinched my crotch once.

Tree Magic by ART. I've had mine for 4 years now and I can't say one bad thing about it. I climb in it everyday and have had nothing wear out as of yet. The bridge is showing slight signs of wear is all.

A couple of years back I was looking into a Jelco but I couldnt find a dealer to sell me one. I think they must mostly be in Europe, but I could be wrong. I called the company and they told me that Blue Rigde sold them, so I called there and apparently they dont. I called back to the number on Jelcos web site and got a few different numbers from them, they were all dead ends. So to answer your question, I have heard of them but thats it, no comments on quality, or performance.

Well you talk about Jelco and Weaver, but we respond with Komet and Buck. So it goes... Just bought my first Butterfly and I am really enjoying it. But I won't try to send you there. I will mention that I did save a ton of $ on a large order (sorry JPS) I was fairly motivated by costs.

Anyway, if your in the gear market, shop sales, then use Sherrill's price crusher. I need to look at the numbers but I think I paid $630ish for gear that retails out to $900+.

walmart of tree gear (sher) will beat that price by 110% if you call them on it.
