Sales

Has any one worked in sales for a larger company? I am intrigued by some of the jobs I see being offered. The problem is I am not the best estimator and would really hate to make a mistake on someone elses dime. Do sales and estimating all ways go hand in had? I am not one of those smooth talking, back slapping, joke telling type people you see involved in sales, but I have lots of knowledge, and enthusiasm about trees and their care(I am a talker). Any one have any advice or insight they would like to share I would like to hear it. Thanks

To be a good salesman you need training on a lot of areas. Being talkative dont mean much, you can talk your self out of a sale too. You need to find out their wants and needs and educate them and know how to close the sale. Alot of guys cant close a screen door let alone a tree job.
