I worked for a Company that used samurai hand saws. An excellent saw, but they don't last as long as a silkys do. But they cost half the price. That Company that use to use them. They now use Silkys.
I think in their price range, their one of the better hand saws out there. Buy one, use it see what a high quality saw is like, you'll be happy, but then when you use a silky, you'll justify the cost of even a better saw.
Anyway Samurai is a very good saw.

I have a stihl fs90 handsaw now... not sure who makes them but I have been very happy with it. It is though a little warn and beat now. It took a nose dive last week from about 70 feet (broke the plastic clip it attaches with fitting my fat ass between a crotch) and it did not work out well for the scabbard. I was going to order a new blade but just the blade cost more then a new samurai. I think its silky time.

Yeah, I used one. It was a great saw but definitely lasted about half as long as the silky. I am back to using silkys..... they're just worth it.

I was gonna order a Samarui yesterday but wasn't sure how good they were so i ordered another Silky Zübat instead.

I've got one and I've got no complaints. I broke the clip off of mine, but it was my own fault. It got wedged underneath the seat of my truck and instead of unwedging it, I decided to brute force it out. Haven't found a good way to attach it to my saddle yet so I'm thinking about upgrading to Silky.
