Saw this in FarmShow magazine, for cutting branches maybe 4 inch maximum into firewood lengths.
article/pdf is not loading to appear here, but the pdf file does open for me. does it work for anyone else?
Basically, he mounted a saw on the edge of a ATV trailer, with a rod above the top of the bar, linked to the throttle. There is a vertical board near the tip for branch to stop against. Lowering a branch down pushes the rod, takes saw to high idle, then branch reaches the top of the bar and it topcuts the branch. When cut is done, the piece falls into trailer and the rod springs back up and saw returns to idle.
