I built a sweet 2 saw holder that was bolted to my bucket out of wood last year. Well I just picked up my newly refurbished bucket and it passed all inspections but learned that you cannot (by regulation and safety) drill holes in a bucket. The repair shop threw in a clip on holder for me to have and I must say it is a pita! Was thinking of building another one out of 3/4 thick nylon and having it just slip over the top. Has anyone done something similar?

I keep mine on the outside. Only once did I have it come undone. It was empty and I was squeezed in between a bunch of branches. I looked back after I fignagled my way out and the dang thing was hanging from a branch that was under where I was squeezed in at.

I'll take a some pics of what I had, was the handiest thing. Top was level with top of bucket on oustside and came down about 18" to just cover the control line cover. Was real speedy to set saw down while holding wood instead of fumbling around trying to stick it by your knees. The 200 and 460 Sat nice next to each other also. Never in the way.

How about gluing a scabbard to the outside does that raise a red flag with the safety po po?
I have done both with the scabbard, in the bucket and out, it depends on what I am doing. This winter I kept it on the inside just to help stay warm there were some effin cold ass days off the lake.

I hate having it on the inside but after a limb snagged it one day and it along with an 026 went to the ground it has stayed on the inside
