ice sawin'

I took a stab at ice carving today, It's a lot different than working with wood! All the saws feel like a hotsaw cutting that stuff.

I agree, my Poulan pro 220 cut ice as fast a my 440 cuts wood! Hmmmm, never used the 440 on ice.:hmm3grin2orange: :biggrinbounce2: :rockn: :D ;)
Troutfisher where'd you get that chunk of ice?

I filled a plastic garbage barrel full of water and a little blue food coloring, let it set outside for a few days, tipped it over and slid the barrel off.

If you cut a little divot in the back of that swan, we could have a punch bowl. BYOB!

Looks great even if it's not a punch bowl though.

Nice work troutfisher. How did you get into chainsaw carving and how long did it take you to become that good? I would like to see some more pictures of some that you have done from wood. NICE JOB.

Thanks! I've been fooling around with carving for about 4 years. Here's a couple bears, an eagle, and an old hermit. It's too cold to put on any finish, I'm waiting for warmer weather.
