saw some ice today...

I took a stab at ice carving today, It's a lot different than working with wood! All the saws feel like a hotsaw cutting that stuff.

I agree, my Poulan pro 220 cut ice as fast a my 440 cuts wood! Hmmmm, never used the 440 on ice.:hmm3grin2orange: :biggrinbounce2: :rockn:

I filled a plastic garbage barrel full of water and a little blue food coloring, let it set outside for a few days, tipped it over and slid the barrel off.

I know it's a 046, I just said I wanted to see how my 440 cuts it.

I meant that I used the 046 "to start" the carving, the first saw I picked up. Sorry if that sounded wrong! It has a 8 tooth rim, and seems to really eat up ice!

Thanks! I've been fooling around with carving for about 4 years. Here's a couple bears, an eagle, and an old hermit. It's too cold to put on any finish, I'm waiting for warmer weather.
