self grafting

In my perusing of the forums I have run into a few threads that had talk of trees that will root graft (oak wilt thread) and self graft ( ie. Fagus spp.). Where can I find more information about this ability of trees, perhaps a list of some sort with some common varieties and their habits?

I would start with web searches on systemic diseases like Oak Wilt and DED.

I've tried looking up info on root grafting and most of what you get is propigation articles.
